Santiago and Elena had to learn a new language, measure every step, and rewrite their lives in a blue-covered notebook. But we know that every reader carries their own invisible metrics, their own cold starts and moments of rebuilding. This section is a space to share yours.

Through the eyes of a single character — the Old Man — this book weaves together the stories of dozens of people who one day decided to leave everything behind and move to Canada. Some arrived with dreams. Others, fleeing. All of them found something they didn't expect.
The novel neither judges nor romanticizes: it simply tells. It tells of the first winter, the first loss, the first underpaying job. But also of the first time someone felt like they truly belonged — that this cold, enormous, and sometimes indifferent place was, in some way, home.
"Migrating is not just changing countries. It's changing skin."

"There are days when Canada feels like a hug that never quite tightens. Days when you understand that home is not a place. It's the exact moment you stop looking for it."☕ Apoyar por Ko-fi Support via Ko-fi
